If there were no limitations, I’d hope to grow my following and become what I’d like to call a “foodie influencer”. If there were no limitations, what do you aspire to accomplish? Also, self-care is saying no or staying in to do absolutely nothing just because I want to. For me, self care is also the simple stuff like eating ice cream, a long hot shower followed with a face mask, a fresh haircut, taking my dog for a walk, buying the damn shoes because I deserve them, and finally trying out a recipe I’ve been dying to experiments with. ![]() ![]() Not being able to go to the yoga studio due to COVID-19 two separate times has shown me just how much my body but mostly mind needs it. What do you do for yourself when it comes to self care? For a long time, I’ve talked about doing something with cooking and since I started, it’s been the biggest confidence booster ever. I’ve transformed from someone who hates change and who always made the same stuff to someone who asks people for suggestions because I’m just so eager to add something new to my “I cook/bake that” list. Since starting my foodsatgram almost a year ago, some of my biggest inspirations have been suggestions from my followers. She recently bought her parents a house and to say I was inspired would be an understatement. Her recipes are simple and wholesome and I admire her for building her empire on her own. One of my biggest inspirations for sharing my cooking creations is My Nguyen Several years ago, when I began looking into eating healthier eating I discovered My. The plan is to not limit myself to just Instagram, but to also utilize TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook to grow my brand and following. I still plan on participating in pop-ups but consistently producing cooking videos is something that can take me far in the cooking/foodie industry. However, a goal for the new year is to get back into content creating because that is what the vision was when I started it all. I gained 1500 followers organically through cooking videos but mostly through selling food from home but also through attending a monthly all vegan pop-up as a food vendor. I don’t have a huge following (yet) but I feel like since I started it almost a year ago, it has in my eyes been a huge success. I originally started my foodie Instagram to share cooking videos and photography, but with much encouragement from my peers I was able to turn it into a small business. This is also be an amazing opportunity to manifest the career that you are working towards if you do not think you are where you’d like to be yet. What do you do? This is the time to brag about your business, your platform and all of the things that you are working on. ![]() I’m good at shifting my focus and pivoting in a less than perfect situation. Resilience is so important when sharing/selling your craft and just putting yourself out there in general so I’d definitely describe myself as resilient. I’ve had to get comfortable with trying new things which is something I used to avoid. Also, making a lot of vegan dishes (despite not being vegan) has made me an innovative cook/baker. I’ve been told on several occasions that I ALWAYS have a plan and it’s 100% true because there’s always something brewing in the back of my head. Cooking and yoga are two things I’m crazy about that I don’t see ever changing. When I enjoy something, I become crazy obsessed with it, which I don’t think it necessarily a bad thing. I think it has to do with my crude sense of humor and the brain to mouth filter I sometimes lack. I’ve always been known as the crazy sister, family member, and friend. Crazy, but in a good way (and I’m sure sometimes in a bad way).
